Terrible product and warranty experience
User's recommendation: Avoid at all costs
Siding is going off and I need it fixed asap since wires are attached to this piece of siding. I was told next available date is July 16 and too bad if wires fall out due to siding.
User's recommendation: Don’t do it
Resolved: Poor Warrenty Service
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I wrote the company an email and they responded back via phone call telling me the guy who was here miscommunicated.
All windows will be replaced, there are two warranties, one on the windows and one on the workmanship to install the windows.
The three windows that were removed and rehung by the other contractor are under warranty, but if there are any leaks around them, that is on the other contractor. I am fine with that, it makes sense.
I reported a window that a contractor wanted to replace because the seal was broken. Told him no, it had a life time warranty. I called and two years later, half the window was finally replaced. In the meantime one of the door to door salesmen informed me that I needed new windows, I told him they were probably just dirty but he insisted the seals were broken, I said that's funny they are your windows, He told me to report them, When called to set up install for the bathroom window replacement I told them I needed the other windows checked based on their saleman's observations.
23 out of 24 windows have a broken seal, the only window with no damage is an interior window between the family room and enclosed back porch, no exposure to weather. I was told that 3 of the windows will not be covered because they were reframed when I had to replace an exterior wall, They were touched by another contactor so the warranty is void on them. 23 out of 24 windows have issues, I think that is pretty good indication the issue is the windows not something the other contractor did. The 20 windows will take 6 to 9 months to come in, I also have a piece of siding coming down, I had to set up an appointment for that.
It will be March (this is November) before that can be fixed. It is blowing in the wind and the side of my house is exposed, How much more damage is going to be done over the winter before that siding is fixed?
I am not happy and will no longer be recommending Power Homes to people. I should not have to fight or wait extended periods of time for my warranty work to be done,
- Good up front work
- Look for excuses not to honor warrenty
- Long turn around time on warranty work
- Higher price than others
Preferred solution: My Warrenty honored
User's recommendation: Life Tiime Warrenties are only good if they are honored, don't pay higher costs for Warrenties that will not be honored

Verified ReviewerResolved: Ilegal Installation
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.
I hired Power to replace the worn out shingles on my roof, They said they would take care of permits with the town building dept. 2 years later I needed a permit for install of a generator and propane gas system. The town will not issue me any more permits since Power Home Remodeling never completed the permit requirements for the roof replacement which is now considered an ileagal installation that is not compliant with town building codes.
If I have to have the entire job re done to comply with local codes I will contact a lawyer and file suit against Power Home Remodeling.make sure the contractor you choose is licensed for your locality and insured. Have them furnish you with a printed copy of the permit for the work to be done including the permit number.
- Quality materials used
- Sales people very pushy
- Overpriced
Preferred solution: Get proper permit from the town and / or replace roof to comply with local codes.

Verified Reviewer | Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaBUYER BEWARE! This company does not honor its warranty.
Over the years we have relied on the Power Home Remodeling Group to replace 25 of our old, casement windows with newer, sealed windows and screens. We chose Power based on their lifetime warranty (95% satisfaction per their website) and their many positive reviews.
The window quality also seemed excellent.
It became apparent within a few years that many of their windows were poorly sealed. Moisture appeared between the panes, allowing a greenish mold or algae to form, clouding the view out.
In May of 2022 i.e. 15 months ago a warranty inspector finally came, and approved the need to replace at least 12 of those windows. He did explain that due to supply-chain issues, it might be a year (thats 12 months) till the warranty completions.
But that was the last we ever heard from them.
Power Home Remodeling never took any initiative to update us. Now its fifteen months -- 15! since that warranty inspection. Thats plenty long enough, and our patience has run out.
So, I finally took the initiative to reach out to Power to get some action.
Power Home Remodeling Group makes it impossible to reach their top management and dealing with their customer service felt like little more than a run-around. I finally got a call from someone in their warranty department who wanted to give me an update. I dont want an update! I want action.
I want the warranty work to be done! Now!
Once we were happy to recommend Power Home Remodeling Group on the basis of their front end performance.
But once they have your money, they dont stand behind their product. BUYER BEWARE!
User's recommendation: BUYER BEWARE! Once the install is done and they have your money, they forget about you!

Verified ReviewerWorst company that doesn’t honor warranty.
A smooth talking sale man approached me in BJs and convinced me to replace all my windows . I financed the project and had it done .
$22 thousand later and a few months after they were installed we notices spots on our large bay window. We called and reported the problem . We were told the seal was damaged and mold was forming inside the glass. Power window told us it would take a year to get a new window .
I was beyond pissed .They said they were having problems with the supplier and there nothing we can do . Little while after that we noticed two more windows with mold . This time they told us they would send us the replacement wndows . Of course that never happened .
Now more than a year later and many phones calls we still have to look through mold spotted windows . . I dont care what their problem is with the supplier , they should still honor their warranty in a timely manner .
I need to keep my blind down all the time and its extremely embarrassing when we have company . Im ready to seek legal advice.
- Not trustworthy company
Preferred solution: Replace damaged windows
User's recommendation: Don’t use them !
Bad business practices
Very pushy salesman who rushed through his presentation. I did sign the contract and quickly found out that there was very little time to review the contract.
Be very weary of the content and wording of the contract. Many loopholes. I had many calls with questions about the project and was treated with disrespect, repeatedly interrupted and spoken over. I was asked for payment before the work was completed.
When I said Id wait the salesmen kept giving me multiple ways of paying that dayThis is the most unprofessional company I ever dealt with. I would never recommend Power Home Remodeling to anyone.
User's recommendation: This is a pushy company with very shady business practices.

Called June 10, 2022 - now 15 month mark. Was informed that replacement still not in and I need to wait another week or two.Check out BBB or Consumer Complaints board.
This company is all over the place. How BBB is giving them A+ rating is beyond...
Called April 4, 2022 - and was put off until June - that's the 15 month mark.
They have not contacted me directly. I've only received responses from the complaint posts, which we know are worthless.
They have my information, they could call me if they wanted to resolve this responsibly. Instead they post a PR response.I've called them several...
Still no commitment for warranty replacement of single window after 13 months.
Called PHRG in March 2021.
Initially they told me this was a simple replacement of single sash.
Called a week later and was told the replacement would not come until November 2021.
Called in November (twice) and was told delay was now to spring of 2022. This is a single sash, mind you.
Called February 2022 and was told replacement windows are 12-14 months and no update on my claim.
Called March 2, 2022 and was told they are now waiting on replacement window due first week of April. After that, service would be scheduled. This would be 13 months after initial contact for warranty service!
Read other complaint sites, and you'll see Power has been building and installing windows all throughout 2021.
Called April 4, 2022 and spoke with Joshua.
He informed me that previous person I spoke with was incorrect on date given above. Now the date was pushed out to June indicating that they (Power) has 12-15 months lead time (change again). Why would anyone do business with this company???
Power has not honored their warranty yet - it will take over a year for such a simple replacement.
Meanwhile, they are still selling windows to unaware new customers.
Called June 10, 2022 and yep - you guessed it, the replacement window is not done yet. They asked me to wait another week or two.
Read the reviews on BBB - you will see hundreds of customer reviews complaining about same thing.

Perhaps PHRG's replacement issue has to do with dropping one supplier for another
- Initial product and installation
- Terrible after sales service

Window Replacement
Power HRG came to replace my windows after 3 last minute reschedules. When they arrived, they immediately were confused, since they had the wrong number of windows in the truck and didn't have interior trim.
Instead of admitting their mistake, they tried to convince me that I didn't pay for the interior trim and I had to show them my contract for them to finally call their project manager and confirm that the trim would need to be put in place at a different time. They then said a project manager would reach out to me to schedule a time for my half finished windows to be completed. Instead of the project manager reaching out to me, I had to call three times and the soonest they could come fix their error was 1 week from the day they started installing the windows. Normally this would be enough to drive most people crazy, but it gets worse.
Since they were rushing to try and go home early, they busted my old windows out, breaking the glass. This resulted in broken glass being left all over my roof, lawn, and bedrooms where they just left it for me to clean up. They also slopped on caulk and gap insulation while throwing in uneven windows, which resulted in scuffed uneven hard to open "NEW" windows.
The customer service team is only good at saying sorry, but hasn't been able to rectify the issue at all. I am warning everyone out there, that the price for these windows is not worth the sloppy, careless workmanship that you will be stuck with since they don't honor their warranty service.
- Sloppy workmanship
- Time was not respected
- Not delivering as promised
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Don't buy
Company doesn't care about its clients
Sales rep was great, promised us what we wanted, then the site manager came out and everything changed. The insulation in the attic was wrong and when I called Natalie the project manager she was very rude, she said that's not on your contract and wanted another $2500, but it was on the Sales reps note.
The plywood estimate was wrong so we had to pay out an additional $2700, they did credit what they didnt use. Then the installer was there from 8am to7pm for 9 days straight not the 3 days we were told. Again Natalie didn't care, no apology, just excuses, and wanted me to sign off on the project so they could get their money.
And when the project was done the Sales rep and site manager would come by and do a final inspection with us, we'll I was told that's not the case. Lots of deception and very poor customer service.

Power homes called me today, said there was a misunderstanding between the guy who was here and me. The windows that were reframed are still covered but the workmanship portion of the warranty is void since the other contractor reframed them.
That is understandable to me.
My siding repair has been moved up to January since there was a cancellation. If they have an opening sooner they will contact me and if the condition worsens, I am to contact them.
